Electric Pizza Oven

Electric Pizza ovens are normally used in restaurants that offer pizza as a dish, but do not specialize in just Pizza. Moreover, there are specialty pizza shops, which are low volume, that utilize Electric Pizza Ovens. Electric pizza ovens are traditionally used in a commercial kitchen and thus must be of sturdy design as the relative usage is high.

Most electric pizza ovens are manufactured using an angle iron frame at its core. The gauge of this angle iron is usually thick so as to maintain rigidity. The external surfaces are normally made up of stainless steel. The insulation that is normally used inside these electric ovens is solid mineral fiber. This type of insulation is used, as it does not sag with time or with exposure to heat over prolonged periods of time.

The doors that provide access to the ovens interior are built with the same high quality materials as the oven itself, sometimes from stainless steel plate. These doors are mounted to the frame, utilizing a turnbuckle assembly, and the doors themselves are of simultaneous operation type, meaning that you only require opening one door, and the synchronous assembly of the doors will open both of them. This is really handy for one hand door operation, as the other hand usually holds the pizza tray.

The doors are triple mounted to the frame to prevent the doors from losing their alignment over a period of time, or cause them to warp with prolonged exposure to heat from the oven. Warped doors cause the heat to leak out, causing uneven or extended baking times, thus causing excess power usage.

There is invariably a glass panel built into the doors and all panels are dual pane thermal glass windows, encased in the stainless steel door frame. Thermal glass is used for two reasons. The first one is obvious that the heat will warp and break normal glass and the second is its insulation properties.

The interior of these ovens must be heavy duty and robust in construction too. Double sided Porcelainized baking compartment liners are used for easy cleaning. Racks are manufactured either of stainless steel or are chrome plated, again for easy cleaning. The control units are all slide-outs, capable for easy accessibility and vary from simple controlled timers to advanced controllers.

Virtually, all pizza ovens are equipped with fan circulation for even heat. All ovens are standard-depth baking compartments, accepting several 18″ x 26″ standard full size baking pans. The fans are normally also constructed of high grade parts that can withstand heat. The fan motors are normally housed outside the oven itself for protection from heat.

All pizza ovens like commercial grade kitchen appliances carry over one year warranties; and, some are covered by extended warranties such as the motors are covered for two years. All controlling equipment is usually solid state and is covered by the traditional two or three years’ warranty..
